Nestled in 30 wooden acres of a secluded nature reserve, your lodge is the perfect hideaway. The open-plan sitting room flows comfortably through the dining area to the kitchen and a cast iron gas stove adds to the ambiance on those chilly evenings.
Alternatively, throw open the French doors to make the most of the beautiful setting and enjoy al fresco dining on the verandah. The double bedroom has a king-size bed and a large ensuite bathroom/WC with a large bath and shower overhead.
Little Grebe also comes with a private fishing platform.
Little Grebe can also be booked with nearby Mallard for your extended family or friends.
In the nonstop, notification-driven world we live in - reward yourself by disconnecting while connecting with the natural beauty outdoors.

Following the road to the right, you will pass through an open gate and follow the road to the left.Follow the gravel track down until you see the dedicated parking spots on the right. Your cabin is at the end of the path.

We stayed in Little Grebe for 2 nights. As soon as we got there we fell in love with the lodge, the view and the lake. We felt instantly relaxed. My husband got straight to fishing and my plans to read were only scuppered by wanting to watch the wild life over the lake. Tip: The Plough Inn is a lovely local pub. The first night we were unsure of the walk so we got an Uber (£2.50) The next day we walked, and easy 15 minute walk. Lovely pub with lovely staff. I did plan on cooking a nice meal as you have everything you need and more in the kitchen, but my husband noticed the take away menus, and we got a lovely Chinese delivered from Jacks Chinese. Read the folder, it’s so interesting.
Thank you so much for an outstanding and deeply appreciated review. Cheers Francesca
